This was the official notice from Club La Santa issued yesterday afternoon:
Swim segment suspended due to adverse conditions at sea
According to the Gobierno de Canarias adverse conditions are expected at sea in Lanzarote in the early morning of this Saturday 5th of October. For this reason, the swim segment of Club La Santa IRONMAN 70.3 Lanzarote has been cancelled.
Participants must turn up at the Papagayo Shopping Center (where the Transition Zone 1 is) wearing their swimming gear (as if they were starting the race under normal conditions) and in order of race number they will start the race with the bike segment.
