Hi Ian, if Thomas Cook does collapse their holiday packages are ATOL protected, so you would receive a refund. In the case of Monarch on the 1st Oct, the majority of claims were resolved by the end of December. If you have purchased flight only, a chargeback can be claimed from your bank. In the case of ATOL protected packages with Thomas Cook flights, the company can either rebook alternative flights or depending on the cost, they make take the decision to cancel and refund the whole package.
