One of my all time favourites is La Carmencita del Puerto in PdC. It is tapas with a twist and it can sometimes quite surprise you. I took some friends there a few months agonand when I suggested the smoked salmon as one of the dishes my friend said “oh, come one, we can eat smoked salmon all the time at home, nothing special about that”. I still picked it when it was my turn to chose a dish and lo and behold, she changed her tune after tasting the smoked salmon from Uga they serve. Also, I think that Irena is quite a character and the staff working there is lovely. Booking is necessary though, at least 2 or 3 days in advance, as the restaurant is very small and quite popular.
