How to add an image to your profile:
Go to https://en.gravatar.com/
Click create your own gravatar
Enter your email, choose a username and password
Activate the link in the email
Go to https://wordpress.com/me
Select the person icon (top right)
Click the photo image in your profile to upload an image
Your profile should automatically update on this forum
